Product information "e.station"

🔌  IoT Gateway

e.station

Smart energy monitoring made easy: the e.station connects your S0 electricity, water and gas meters to the Internet of Things – reliable, open-source and ready to use right out of the box.

The e.station reads the pulse signals from your electricity, gas or water meters and automatically calculates the current consumption or energy output every minute – with no manual intervention required.

Using the built-in configuration interface, the number of pulses per kWh can be set individually for each of the 12 inputs, making the e.station compatible with virtually any meter type. The measured values are then forwarded via MQTT – to your own server, a private cloud, any third-party cloud service, or directly to the nD-enerserve GmbH portal. All connection credentials can be entered conveniently through the web interface.

How the e.station works

🔗 What is MQTT?

MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is a lightweight communication protocol designed specifically for connected devices with limited bandwidth. The device sends, the server receives – simple, stable and energy-efficient.

🌐 What is the IoT?

The Internet of Things (IoT) connects physical devices to the internet. Meters, sensors and machines transmit their data automatically – enabling analysis, control and optimisation in real time.
